There is also a step-by-step walkthrough below the video with screenshots, if that’s more helpful.

How to start:

Join or Start a Google Meet Call: Begin by joining an existing Google Meet call or creating a new one. You can do this through Google Classroom, Google Calendar, Gmail, or directly through the Google Meet website.

Start Screen Share:

Once you’re in the meeting, locate the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Look for the “Present now” button. It usually appears as a square with an arrow pointing to the right. Click on it.

Choose What to Share:

After clicking “Present now,” a pop-up window will appear with options for what you want to share. You can choose to share your entire screen, a specific window, or a Chrome tab. Click on the option that suits your needs.

Once you have selected the tab for the type of share you want to accomplish, you MUST click on the item title, tile or screen so the “Share” button will highlight or change color.

Start Sharing:

Once you’ve selected what you want to share, click on it, and then click the “Share” button. Your screen will now be shared with everyone in the meeting.

Stop Sharing:

To stop sharing your screen, locate the toolbar again and click on the “Stop presenting” button. It usually appears as a rectangle with a stop icon. Clicking this will end the screen sharing session.

These steps should help you successfully share your screen during a Google Meet video call. If you encounter any issues, don’t hesitate to ask for further assistance!
