Tips

Tip #1 – Troubleshoot first – Clear the cache

The first thing to try when Pluralsight doesn’t seem to be working is to sign out, clear your cache, and log back in, or try logging in from a private tab or alternate browser.

Tip #2 – Watch the videos

Please just watch the Pluralsight videos. There are no type-along videos in this class.

Tip #3 Don’t make changes based on Pluralsight

Do NOT change your computer configuration based on the Pluralsight videos.

Tip #4 Read me first

All READ ME FIRST and Week 0 videos need to be watched before your first class.

BONUS ADVICE – If you can watch ahead, please do.

Pluralsight challenges do not work (even when I put in their code from the solution).

This is why we do not require the Pluralsight challenges as part of completion.  If the challenge does not work or there is an error, you may report it to Pluralsight by email or via their website.

Lost access to Pluralsight after completing Prework or Introduction
  1. This is a normal part of the process.  As you progress through the stages of the Code: You program, Pluralsight channels will change and you will need to accept a new invitation.
  2. New invitations are sent at the following stages:
    1. Prework
    2. Introduction to Programming
    3. Beginning of Pathway
  3. Code: You graduates are removed from the Pluralsight account to allow the licenses to be allocated to new participants.  Pluralsight offers some free access.

There is no need to attach any materials to the assignment in Google Classroom.  You can mark it as done or leave it.  Code: You staff reviews completion on the admin side of Pluralsight.
