The Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for guiding prospective students through the enrollment process and supporting them throughout their journey at Code:You. This role involves engaging with potential students through SMS, phone, email, and in-person interactions while also implementing strategies to promote student retention and success.
key responsibilities
Student Recruitment and Outreach:
- Proactively reach out to prospective adult students using SMS, phone, email, and in-person meetings to provide information about Code:You’s programs.
- Educate people through individual conversations, webinars, in-person presentations, and more about what the program involves and what is needed to be successful
- Respond promptly to inquiries from interested individuals, offering guidance on program details, requirements, and benefits.
- Build and nurture relationships with potential students to ensure a positive enrollment experience.
Enrollment Support:
- Assist prospective students in completing applications, providing clear instructions, and answering questions.
- Ensure all required documentation is submitted accurately and on time.
- Follow up with applicants regularly to keep them informed of their application status.
- Lead information sessions about the process of getting started on the program
Retention Strategies:
- Partner with program mentors and support staff to monitor student progress and engagement.
- Maintain regular contact with enrolled students via check-ins (SMS, email, or calls) to address concerns, celebrate milestones, and provide encouragement.
- Identify students at risk of disengagement and proactively connect them with resources, including mentors, academic support, and career counseling.
- Develop and implement student engagement activities such as virtual or in-person events, group study sessions, and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to share success stories and testimonials that motivate current students.
Event Coordination and Representation:
- Represent Code:You at community events, career fairs, and information sessions to promote program offerings.
- Organize and host enrollment events, such as open houses, workshops, or one-on-one consultations, to engage with prospective students.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student inquiries, applications, communications, and retention metrics in the CRM system.
- Track and analyze enrollment and retention metrics, providing regular reports to the Operations Manager.
qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, marketing, communications, or a related field is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in student recruitment, admissions, or customer/student success roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, GSuite, and communication tools (SMS, email platforms, etc.).
- Passion for education, technology, and helping individuals achieve career success.
Work Schedule and location
Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Flexible work environment (remote/in-person hybrid opportunities)
- Hybrid work. Regular in-person meetings with our Eastern Kentucky partners are required, but remote work is available when no travel or meetings are ongoing
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within the region
